A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to non-existent email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss messages because the other party has an obsolete address or has made a spelling mistake. The disadvantage of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of junk emails, but this problem can be rectified using anti-spam protection software. It’s also vital to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound emails to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a shared website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel comes with quite a lot of features, but it’s unbelievably simple to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only a mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply have to click the "Catch-all" button for the particular email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose another mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires one more mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will permit you to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without effort even if you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you’ve set up using your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
